The Redhound Service Award Collaboration Winner, Staci Hibbard

Sometimes collaboration looks like sitting around a table, planning an event, or working together on a project. But at Corbin High School, Staci Hibbard shows us that collaboration can also look like simply noticing what needs to be done—and bringing in the right people to help.

Staci was recently recognized with the Redhound Way Service Award for Collaboration during our Classified Appreciation Breakfast. The award celebrates classified employees who bring the traits of The Redhound Way to life through their daily work and service to others.

And collaboration may be the perfect word to describe Staci.

Throughout the school year, Staci works alongside teachers, the CHS Youth Service Center, after-school programs, and countless others to create opportunities for students. She helps provide after-school tutoring in the Media Center, partners with JROTC for summer programming, collaborates with educators on Art Camp, and works with colleagues to plan Family Engagement Nights, the College Fair, Career Fair, FAFSA Nights, and the College and Career Ready Luncheon.

But Staci doesn't just coordinate these opportunities—she shows up.

Walk into the Media Center after school, and you might find her sitting beside a student, helping with homework, answering questions, or preparing for a test. As the sponsor of the Interact Leadership Club, she doesn't simply assign students a project and step away. She works alongside them, encouraging them to serve, lead, and take ownership.

And sometimes, collaboration happens in the most ordinary moments.

Because Staci also serves at the preschool during lunch, she often returns to the high school while lunch is still underway. Instead of heading back to her office, she frequently sees the custodial staff working to clean between lunch periods—and joins them.

No one asked her to. She simply saw a need and stepped in.

That may be what makes Staci's example so powerful. Her collaboration isn't about a title or a task list. It's about people.

She understands that when we work together, we create better opportunities for students and a stronger school community. She leads by serving, supports others by joining them in the work, and reminds those around her that being part of a team means being willing to pitch in wherever you are needed.

Staci Hibbard doesn't just talk about collaboration.

She lives it—and in doing so, she makes the entire Redhound family stronger.
