A Welcome from Principal Ball

Principal Ball

Dear Students and Families,

Welcome to Corbin School of Innovation!

It is my privilege to serve as your principal, and I am excited to begin another school year with our students, families, and staff. Whether you are returning to our school or joining us for the first time, I want you to know that you are an important part of our school community.

Corbin School of Innovation was created to provide students with something different: a flexible, student-centered, Montessori-inspired learning experience built around individual needs. We recognize that students do not all learn in the same way or at the same pace. Our responsibility is to meet students where they are, help them discover their strengths, and challenge them to continue growing.

At our school, we want every student to be known, valued, supported, and held to high expectations. Our smaller learning community and flexible in-person and virtual pathways allow us to build strong relationships while helping students take greater ownership of their education. We believe students are most successful when schools and families work together with honesty, consistency, and a shared commitment to their growth.

Our motto—Curiosity. Independence. Success.—captures what we want for every student. We want students to remain curious enough to ask questions, become independent enough to take responsibility for their learning, and develop the knowledge, confidence, and character needed to succeed in college, a career, and life.

This year will bring opportunities, challenges, and plenty of growth. There may be times when the work is difficult, but our students will not face those moments alone. Our staff will be here to encourage them, guide them, and challenge them to keep moving forward.

To our students: Come ready to learn, ask questions, work hard, and take an active role in your education. Your path may not look exactly like anyone else’s, but it belongs to you, and we are here to help you make the most of it.

To our parents and families: Thank you for trusting us with your children and for partnering with us in their education. Please communicate with us, ask questions, and let us know how we can work together to support your child.

I am proud of what Corbin School of Innovation represents, and I look forward to seeing what our students accomplish this year.

Sincerely,

Michael Ball
