Welcome to the 2026–27 School Year!

Dear Students, Families, Staff, and Community Members,

It is with great pride and enthusiasm that I welcome you to the 2026–2027 school year! As Superintendent of Corbin Independent Schools, I am honored to serve a district built on a proud tradition of academic excellence, strong community partnerships, and an unwavering commitment to student success. Together, we continue to embrace the Redhound spirit that defines who we are.

One of the greatest strengths of Corbin Independent Schools is the collaboration between our schools, families, businesses, and community organizations. Working together, we create meaningful opportunities that prepare our students to succeed not only in the classroom but in an ever-changing world. Your support and involvement make a lasting difference in the lives of our students, and I am grateful for the commitment you show each day.

We remain dedicated to providing every student with a high-quality education that challenges, inspires, and empowers them to reach their full potential. I am very excited to share that we will be unveiling what we call the "Redhound Way" which focuses on the entire student via our 6 pillars which are work ethic, resilience, communication, creativity, critical thinking and collaboration. Our goal is not simply to meet expectations—but to exceed them. Excellence without exception.

Excellence at Corbin extends beyond academics. Our exceptional athletic programs, fine arts, clubs, and extracurricular activities continue to foster character, teamwork, leadership, and school pride. Whether students compete on the field, perform on the stage, or serve in our community, they represent Corbin with integrity and determination. These experiences strengthen our schools and unite our community in meaningful ways.

As we begin another exciting school year, I look forward to celebrating the accomplishments of our students, supporting our dedicated educators, and partnering with our families and community. Together, we will continue building a culture where every student feels valued, challenged, and prepared for a bright future.

Thank you for your continued trust and support of Corbin Independent Schools. I wish everyone a safe, successful, and inspiring 2026–2027 school year.

Go Redhounds!

Warm regards,

C. Travis Wilder
