Learning Together: Fire Safety the Redhound Way

At Corbin Preschool Center, learning doesn’t stop at the classroom door. Sometimes, it comes with flashing lights, a fire truck, and a few very special community heroes!
During Fire Safety Month, our littlest Redhounds had the opportunity to learn alongside members of the Corbin Fire Department. Through this community partnership, students explored fire safety, learned how to stay safe, and met the people who work every day to protect our community.
For our preschoolers, this was more than an exciting visit from a fire truck. It was an opportunity to learn with others, ask questions, make connections, and see firsthand how people in our community work together to help one another.
Collaboration means working with others to accomplish something together. Our partnership with the Corbin Fire Department is a wonderful example of that competency in action. When our schools and community work together, our students benefit—and our little Redhounds grow into connected, confident members of the community.
We are grateful to the Corbin Fire Department for investing in our youngest learners and helping them learn, grow, and stay safe.
That’s The Redhound Way!
