A Redhound Standard: Trey Person Named Student-Athlete of the Year

Excellence isn’t achieved in a single moment. It’s built through hard work, dedication, and the commitment to give your best in everything you do.
Corbin High School’s Trey Person is a shining example of what it means to live out the Redhound Way. Recently named the SOAR Inspires Student-Athlete of the Year, presented by KCTCS, Trey has earned recognition for the excellence he demonstrates both in the classroom and in competition.
As a three-sport athlete, Trey competes in football, basketball, and baseball, balancing the demands of multiple athletic seasons while maintaining high academic standards. His success reflects more than talent. It takes discipline to prepare, dedication to keep improving, and a strong work ethic to give your best even when the work happens behind the scenes.
Trey’s accomplishments remind us that striving for excellence isn’t about being the best at just one thing. It’s about bringing your best to every responsibility, embracing opportunities to grow, and putting in the effort required to reach your goals.
Through his commitment to academics and athletics, Trey represents the kind of student-athlete Corbin is proud to celebrate. His recognition is a testament to the hard work he puts in and the character he demonstrates along the way.
Congratulations to Trey Person on this well-deserved honor! His example reminds us that excellence is a choice we make every day—in the classroom, on the field, and in everything we do.
That's Work Ethic.
That’s The Redhound Way.
