The Corbin Independent School District Food Service Department considers the program to be an important part of the total education program. Encouraging good eating habits and an understanding of good nutrition are important to the development of all students and is stressed at all age levels and in all of our schools. We strive to provide nutritious meals for students in a clean, attractive environment at a price most students can afford. The cost for a student breakfast is $.60 district wide. Lunch prices at Central Primary and South Elementary is $1.40 per day and $1.50 at Corbin Middle, Corbin High School and East School. All students are provided with a free or reduced price meal application at the beginning of each school year. Families whose income is at or below the federal guidelines are eligible to receive free or reduced meals. All students are offered many choices daily in which to choose. Menus are printed and sent home with the elementary and primary students each month. Menus for all other schools are printed and posted in areas throughout the schools.
