Executive Summary

Our Vision

Striving to be our best.

Our Mission

We will prepare our students academically for the next step in their educational career. We seek to instill in our students the desire to become responsible, successful members of society. We are constantly striving to be the best.

What We Believe

·                    All children can learn.

·                    Students learn best when they are actively engaged in the learning process.

·                    Students learn best in a caring and inviting environment.

·                    The physical environment of the school directly impacts student learning.

Process of Developing the Comprehensive School Improvement Plan

Discussions involving all stakeholders began shortly after receiving our test scores. Our grade level team meetings were used to analyze the test data. Our first early release day was utilized to identify areas of concern and to prioritize next steps of action. Visits were made by principal, various faculty members and central office staff to schools outside our district to view best practices in the areas of our concern. Reports were given in team meetings of our findings. A plan of action was presented to our SBDM Council during an open meeting. Our council approved the plan the following month.

Communication Plan

Our action plan will be made available to all staff members. The plan will be printed in our PTO Newsletter for our parents and will be presented in an open meeting with our local school board. We plan to conduct a survey next school year to evaluate the effectiveness of our plan.
